First of all, you need to choose your preferred blog host, of course. Free blog templates are designed for use of a specific blog. Also, make sure that the blog site you pick allows templates. There are plenty of blogs that allow this but some only allow templates that are from within their own site. You’ll find it very hard or even impossible to upload your own template, especially if you are using their services for free.
Luckily, there are still plenty of blog sites that allow users to upload their own templates. Your main task here to choose a host that you think will provide you with the best functionality.
Search for the template
The next step is to choose a template. You don’t have to limit yourself with just one or two. It would even be tremendously helpful to choose plenty of free blog templates to help you pick the right one better. Don’t forget to think about important considerations when choosing the template for your blog. For instance, you may want to choose a template design that will go along well with the nature of your blog. This way, you can provide your readers with an overview of what they are likely to find within your blog through the template.
Also, choose the template that will give your blog plenty of workspace, especially if you plan to place several functions within it. There are plenty of widget-ready templates. Websites that offer templates provide an easy downloading method. And after you’ve finished downloading the template, all that is left to do is to upload the template. Some blog hosts offer a hassle-free way of uploading templates, although some may require you to copy and paste the codes. If so, make sure that the template you downloaded makes the codes accessible.
