7 Tips for Choosing the Right Blog Software for Your New Blog

7 Tips for Choosing the Right Blog Software for Your New Blog

Choosing the right blog software for your new blog requires that you ask yourself some questions and make a list of all of the features and tools you need as well as your budget. Once you have this information written down you will be prepared to start shopping for blog software. However, keep in mind the following seven tips for choosing the best software for you.

Tip #1 Ping Updates
These allow you to update your blog and are very important in blog software. Make sure the blog software you are interested in provides automatic ping updates.

Tip #2 Comments
Whatever blog software you choose, you’ll want to make sure that it has an area for comments from visitors. This will help you understand what is successful in your blog and what is not, as well as guide you in future blogs. This is a really great tool and should be part of your blog software.

Tip #3 Trackback
If you are discussing your blog on another blog, or simply adding information to another blog, trackback will allow you to update this information. This is a little confusing, but trackback allows you to talk on your blog about information on another blog and ping the writer of the other blog to let them know what is going on. Trackback is certainly a feature you want in your blog software.

Tip #4 Pingback
Pingback is similar to trackback, but it just sends a URL to the other blog to let them know you are talking about their blog on your blog. This is not used as much as trackback, but you will want a blog software that has at least one of these two functions.

Tip #5 Web-based
The point of a blog is you can post information instantly online, so you want your blog software to be similar to a word processor and web based without a shadow of a doubt.

Tip #6 Archiving
You want a blog software that supports archiving, and most of them do. The reason for this is you will want to save all of your past blogs by the date they were published and archiving allows you to do that.

Tip #7 Categorize
Another great tool you will want in your blog software is the ability to categorize. You want to keep your blogs organized and in categories, if you have them, so this option is really a great one for most bloggers.

There are lots of types of blog software available. You just need to do the research and compare what you find with what you need and then… start blogging!

Hiring The Right Telemarketer For Your Business

Hiring The Right Telemarketer For Your Business

When hiring a Telemarketer for your business it pays to hire well the first time around. There is nothing worse than investing hours and hours of your time and energy in a new recruit who then decides that Telemarketing is not for them or who just isn’t capable of getting the results that you need.

You must keep in mind the type of calling your business does and who your target customer is. So when looking for new Telemarketing staff you need to consider:

Firstly, who are your customers? Are they professionals? Mums? Small Business Owners?

People generally relate best to people like themselves. This doesn’t mean that you can only hire people who are like your clients, but it’s best if they can easily relate to your target customer. You will find a lot of information on implementing the best sales process and on Consumer Behaviour at my web site.

Secondly, what hours are you wanting your telemarketers to work? If you are looking for people to work after 4pm, then parents of small children are probably not going to be your best staff prospects. Instead you might advertise on university or college websites (which is usually free) as we know that students are mostly free of an evening (they are also usually motivated and fairly intelligent, which is great for you as a business owner).

And lastly, what is the product/ service you are marketing?

If for instance you are selling products for retired people, it may not be the best idea to have 18 year olds calling these clients. They simply will not relate to each other.

If you were calling high level executives to talk about your training services it would make no sense to have a telemarketer who is still at high school, they would probably feel totally out of their league, and we know that telemarketers need confidence to succeed. It would also not instil confidence in your executive clients.

The Qualities of a Good Telemarketer

These are good general guidelines for what type of person makes a good Telemarketer.

They must have a clear telephone voice
Speak fluently and at a nice pace
You must enjoy speaking to them
They must sound happy, enthusiastic and friendly
Do they communicate clearly who they are, what their experience is and why they think they are suitable for this role?
Are they available the hours you need?
Can they commit to the role long term or are they after a short term role?

All of this is information that you will get when you have your first telephone contact with your new recruit. For this reason it is imperative that all job applicants call you to apply for the role, rather than emailing through a resume.

Listening to their phone manner will be the most important part of your interview process. If they can’t sell you on why you should interview them, then there is a great chance that they are not right for a Telemarketing job.

Do I Need Staff with Experience?

Not necessarily. As per usual, it depends on your type of business. Ask yourself these questions:

Will the call be detailed and require an in depth knowledge of my industry?
Am I providing a script that can be followed word for word? Or am I providing guidelines only for the call?
Are you doing cold calling? Or are you calling an existing client database or warm leads?
Are you selling or appointment setting? Lead generating or introducing your business to people?
Are you confident in the training you are providing new staff?

For me, I have always found that telemarketers with no prior experience are my preference. That is because I know I provide great training, I know what to look for when hiring new staff and I know that I provide a script for every occasion. People with no experience also come to me with no bad habits for me to retrain, which I appreciate.

Having said that, if you require product or industry knowledge, if you are selling your product/ service in only one or two phone calls, if you are cold calling, if you provide no firm script or if you don’t provide much training you should hire experienced telemarketers.

NWO WARNING! HR 1966: Bill to restrict right of free speech on the internet – You MUST oppose this!!

From: Thenewyorkcritic www.youtube.com Toward the Obama/Bush New World Order! A new cyberbullying bill aims to punish those who intend to cause “emotional distress” online with fines, jail time, or both. The problem—as usual—is the vague language used in the bill, which leaves many critics concerned that it could be used to censor speech on the Internet. A recently introduced cyberbullying bill could land us all in jail—that is, if you have ever used an electronic medium to troll someone. HR 1966, the Megan Meier Cyberbullying Prevention Act, is named after the high-profile “MySpace suicide” victim Megan Meier. It’s meant to prevent people from using the Internet to “coerce, intimidate, harass, or cause substantial emotional distress to a person.” However, as with many bills of this nature, the murky language and vague standards leave much open to interpretation, which has caused critics to call it the Censorship Act instead. HR 1966 was introduced in April by US Representative Linda Sanchez (D-CA) and it’s supported by 14 other members of Congress. According to the text, individuals who bully others via any electronic means could face fines, two years in prison, or both. This, of course, could include those nasty text messages you sent to your ex on Saturday night, the questionable e-mail you sent to your brother, or those forum posts you made in which you called for someone who liked the new Star Trek movie to jump off a building. The bill largely flew under the radar

Quit Spending Your Blogging Money Right Now!

Quit Spending Your Blogging Money Right Now!

If you knew that the money you make early on with your blogging could help you to make more in the future would you give it up? If let’s say, small investments with your blogging money could potentially help you to be earning six figures in two years would you be willing to not spend it on luxuries now? What are you doing with your blogging money?

Why are some people spending the blogging money they are earning so fast when they start out in operating an online business? It is a mistake I’ve seen a lot of people make. Truly, it’s just a matter of inexperience but hopefully the people that read this will gain a little bit of insight from it. If you are new online blogging, in time you would eventually learn this one way or the other.

When starting out online most new people who haven’t the knowledge to truly build an online business yet, are so happy to just make their first dollars they are to quick to go out and start spending their much anticipated blogging money they might have finally earned. Then again, not all online businesses are based on blogging. Certainly, it doesn’t have to be just blogging they are using as their business builders but, either way, some do not understand the importance of reinvesting those funds to further themselves.

It’s exciting when those first few sales come in and I suppose it’s only natural to want to give yourself a little pat on the back by buying yourself a little present for crossing that first real hurdle. Which of course is making your first sale! It’s always a great feeling. But don’t let that first sale fool you into thinking a ton of them will follow. It takes time for consistency to come into play.

One thing that most experienced bloggers will tell you is that instead of spending that first blogging money, you should really invest it back into your business. Why? Well, so you can further your business by either outsourcing some of your tasks of blogging, or perhaps you could get a piece of helpful software to make your job a little bit easier. When you do have the dollars, it sure is a nice treat to simply put in an order for a bunch of articles at Elance or Scriptlance and hire a writer to do them for you. It cuts your time up immensely. When you finally have the chance to use these services, believe me, you will appreciate it. Personally the biggest struggle I’ve always had working online is trying to deal with all the content that must be created. It’s especially true when you try and move into managing multiple blogs. It’s very hard to do it all on your onw. There are only so many hours in a day, after all. Do yourself a favor! Instead of spending that first little bit of blogging money on a present for yourself, hire a writer or grab yourself some software to make your online business and life easier. If this is the first time learning what I’ve just written give it a try.

Without question, we are living in a time when some of the new blogging softwares for helping you in your business are becoming incredibly powerful. We even have complete membership sites developed now for helping us to maintain multiple blogs in one place. Yes, it can be a bit of an investment in monthly fees for this type of membership. But, you have to look at it with the end in mind. For the cost of this type of membership will be well worth it months down the road when you start to make some real blogging money from your efforts. If that isn’t enough to excite you, then, think about how much further along you will be in your business one or two years from now. It pays off and it’s worth it!

Fortunately, in time I was able to begin affording the privilege of joining one of these sites myself. If you can’t afford a powerful blogging membership then seriously consider some of the newer blogging softwares to help you. In time the cost of using these tools will be paying off and putting more blogging money where it belongs, which is in your pocket! Keep on pushing forward and know where you are spending that early blogging money.
